Join us, if you are…                                                             

  • 12 to 18 years old (applicant is aged 12 or above on or before 1 June 2023)
  • Full-time student
  • Experienced in community service and volunteering
  • Good in communication and presentation (in Cantonese, English & Putonghua)
  • Outspoken, positive, independent and a good team player

 

Application

Applicants must submit the following documents on or before 15th of November 2023 (Wednesday):

  1. Completed application form
  2. Written proof or copies of certificates for any community services/volunteer work
  3. Signed Declaration Form
  4. A piece of work illustrating your views on the following question – Topic 1: ‘Among the four rights of children (survival, protection, development and participation), which one should be of highest priority and why?” AND
    Topic 2: 'What quality should a Young Envoy possess? Answers may include strengths, knowledge, skills and attitudes etc.'
    You may choose to submit your work in the following format
  • A word essay in English/Chinese (500-1000 words)
  • A video (Within 1 minutes)
  • Comics, illustrations, drawings or any other creative format

 

Screening & Interview   

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to join a selection interview. Applicants who do not receive notification by end of December 2023 shall assume their application unsuccessful. UNICEF HK reserves the right to the final decision.

 

UNICEF Young Envoys must:

  • Attend ALL training and activities under UNICEF Young Envoys Programme 2024, including interviews and media activities if any.
  • Participate in the production of publication and promotion materials after the field visit and assist in organizing follow-up activities.
  • Actively advocate for child rights whenever possible.

Language                                                    

Trainings are mainly conducted in Cantonese; candidates who have a good proficiency of Cantonese are preferred.
