Listen to the voices of our youth; pave their way to growth. Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF HK) hosted the Appointment Ceremony of UNICEF Young Envoys Programme 2024 on 24th August. Following a year of nurturing programme including training and field trip, 37 Young Envoys were appointed to carry out their duties of promoting child rights in their communities.
UNICEF Young Envoys Programme (the Programme), launched by UNICEF HK in 1996, aims to provide a valuable opportunity for young people in Hong Kong to explore global and local issues in relation to children’s rights to survival, protection, development, and participation. This year, the Programme focused on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 13 - Climate Action and the Child Friendly Cities Initiative.
