Since 1996, the "UNICEF Young Envoys Programme" has been providing a valuable opportunity for teenagers to explore global and local issues in relation to children’s rights to survival, protection, development and participation. Each year, over 5 million children fail to reach their fifth birthday and the majority of those deaths are preventable. The Programme enables local teenagers to better understand the challenges facing children globally, and to partner with UNICEF HK to improve the situations and lives of children in need.
