In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.

United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is the world's promise for children. The world made an extraordinary commitment to all children through its adoption of United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) on 20 November 1989. The CRC is the most rapidly and widely ratified international human rights treaty in history.

The CRC has made a world of difference in the lives of millions of children, but this historic milestone must serve both as an urgent reminder of the millions whose rights are not realized - and an opportunity to renew our commitment to reach every child, especially the most disadvantaged.

The brochure summarizes the articles and general principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in simple language.
